Lose Weight Quickly In 5 Easy Steps

5 tips for quick weight loss. Sounds like a fantasy, right? But it’s actually that easy to kick start your
metabolism and shed those unwanted pounds. It doesn’t take a whole bunch of fancy weight loss
programs or special meal substitutes. It’s all about good old fashioned common sense and doing
what’s right for your body.

Get Your Sugar From The Right Place: The body actually needs some sugar to help burn calories,
but not all sugar is created equal. Instead of relying on processed sugars, get yours naturally from
fruits and vegetables. Not only is it easier for your body to digest these natural sugars, eating more
fruit and vegetables can make you feel full so that you eat less and lose weight quickly.

Drink Away The Pounds: The best weight loss aid out there is water. That’s right, the more you
drink, the more easily you’ll lose weight because you’ll feel full. This is the easiest of the 5 tips for
quick weight loss but the one that people tend to overlook the most. Ditch the sugary soda and fill up
on water instead.

Size Does Matter: When it comes to losing weight, portions count. We tend to super size
everything and that adds up to many more calories than we really need. By limiting portion size you
can lose weight quickly and you’ll be surprised to find that you don’t feel hungry. Look at most food
labels and notice the portion sizes they list. They are much smaller than you think, and that’s really all
you need!

Pay Attention When You Eat: Too many of us sit down in front of the TV to eat or grab a quick bite
on the go. When considering 5 tips for quick weight loss, the need to slow down and think about
what you’re eating can’t be emphasized enough. If you make mealtime solely about the food, you’ll
be more aware of exactly how much and what kind of food you’re eating, and that makes a real

Choose Your Fat Wisely: Fat is another necessary part of a healthy diet, but some are better for
you than others. Trans fats and saturated fats should be avoided at all costs. Instead, opt for foods
high in omega fatty acids, like fish and olive oil. With the right fat in the right proportion, you’ll lose
weight quickly and feel better too.

Those are the 5 tips for quick weight loss. Losing the pounds comes down to eating right and
exercising. Get yourself moving for at least 30 minutes every day and make sure that you eat a
balanced, healthy diet. That’s all there is to it.

Losing weight is a challenge that many of us face but to do it right, you need to go about it
responsibly. Pay attention to what you put in your body and keep yourself active. Those are the
simple keys to living better and losing weight, not only quickly but for good. Changing your lifestyle
can make an immediate difference and one that lasts a lifetime.

Lycopene and Prostate Cancer – Why There Is Hope

In the United States alone there are more than 200,000 new cases of prostate cancer
each year, of which 30,000 men die each year, according to the American Cancer
Society. The survival rate at this time is five years after diagnosis. However, this survival
rate is increasing since there are some new treatments and because the disease has a
slow progression rate.

Eating a healthy diet and adding a daily dietary supplement may help prevent the
disease or, at least, slow the progression. There is a natural compound in tomatoes
called lycopene. Some studies suggest that it may be effective in prevention, care, and
keeping men with this cancer healthier.

Interest in the correlation between lycopene and the prevention and treatment of
prostate cancer has caused a surge in research in the last few years. It is the red
pigment in most red fruits and vegetables. It is also found in papaya, tomato and
watermelon and is mostly known for its antioxidant properties. It has been under the
research microscope for years now because of its cancer prevention possibilities.

Lycopene in particular has been the focus of thorough research in the hopes of coming
up with a dietary supplement to counter the risk of cancer. Unfortunately, lycopene and
prostate cancer research has, at best, only managed to give mixed results regarding the
true potential of its cancer prevention.

Early studies have suggested that it could partially inhibit certain cancer cells from
growing, but it turned out that the nature and impact of that research are just preliminary
and did not provide a great deal of information at that time. The publication of ongoing
studies has now created a great deal of hype. This hype has resulted in unexpected
swings of support that regard lycopene as one of the most effective natural weapons
against some cancer types, including prostate cancer.

In the recent years, the attention and interest in this particular antioxidant has grown,
especially in how it could turn things around in the fight against prostate cancer. Many
are considering this dietary supplement as a good cancer-fighting alternative. It gave
ketchup manufacturers a great idea to ride on this opportunity, and was them
advertising everywhere that their products are rich in lycopene.

In the year 2005, the FDA took it upon themselves to conduct in-depth analysis of every
available lycopene and prostate cancer research data available and concluded that
there was no defining link between lycopene and prostate cancer treatment. But they did
declare; however, that a strong association is present with the consumption of whole red
tomatoes to counter and reduce prostate cancer risks. Other agents aside from
lycopene that are present in tomatoes are thought to have a part in the cancer risk
reduction as well.

The American Cancer Society advises that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables may lower
the risk for this cancer and recommends five or more servings of these foods daily. It
further recommends that men, especially, should include lots of tomatoes in their diets.
They may be cooked, raw, or in tomato- based products. It seems that lycopene is not
damaged by heat and, therefore, it remains potent in processed tomato products.

Several more recent studies in 2010 have indicated that lycopene may even prevent this
cancer. Even though the mechanism by which this happens is still to be determined.

While the lycopene component will not affect everyone’s efforts, it should not be simply
disregarded. The fact remains that with other vital components found in various food
sources, lycopene contributes to the overall effort in the fight against certain forms of
cancer, particularly with prostate cancer.

Currently, many doctors are not actively advising men about lycopene for risk reduction.
Instead, they stick to the advocacy of having a well-balanced healthy diet, and that
includes juicy, red tomatoes. This is great news since most tomato-rich products
anywhere in the market are relatively cheap. They are also easily found in most people’s
diet too.

Putting all these together, anyone would surely agree that there is indeed hope for the
lycopene and prostate cancer matter. It would also be ideal if all these developments
were taken into account when selecting the right prostate supplements available in the
market today. Take time and effort to research and consider individual ingredients and
their proper functions in your body so you can come up with an informed decision.
Natural dietary supplements are those most often recommended.

As always, one should always consult with his health care provider before adding any
supplement to the diet

Probiotics-Benefits of Taking Probiotic Supplement

Most people don’t think about it, but we live in a world where there is constant hoard of
invisible harmful microbes around us. The best way to protect ourselves in this world is
to arm our selves with research and information regarding powerful “good” bacteria. In
other words, consider taking probiotic supplements.

New products containing probiotics are hitting the market place at a fast and furious
pace according to current market researchers. Companies want to latch onto the rising
population of people who are becoming more and more health conscious. The industry
has, at least, tripled from 1994 to 2003. The grocery stores, pharmacies, and health
food stores are providing numerous foods and probiotic supplements

So, what are probiotics and just what do they do? They are live microorganisms, such
as bacteria, yeasts, and viruses not unlike the bacteria that can be found in the human
intestinal system. Research to date seems to indicate that there are real health benefits
from ingesting these bacteria. They are sometimes called “good bacteria” or “friendly
bacteria.” Consumers usually obtain them in the form of dietary supplements in pills,
capsules, and powders.

There has been much debate on exactly how to define probiotics. The World Health
Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has
determined that “probiotics are live microorganisms, which when administered in
adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host”.

These microorganisms are used to support the general health and to treat some
illnesses. There is not a great deal of evidence that would support the use of these
bacteria; however, more research may change all of that very soon. Interestingly, these
organisms are found most frequently in breast fed infants. This may be why infants are
immune to many diseases for the first few months of their lives.

Historically, there are probiotic foods that come from ancient time, such as fermented
foods and cultured milk products. They were especially prevalent in Egypt and Asia.

The health benefits of these microorganisms is being researched by many institutions
both inside the United States and in other parts of the world. The interest is growing
among medical professionals about the use of probiotics in IBS (irritable bowel
syndrome). To date there is only one strain of this bacteria “Bifid bacterium infantis” that
has show to be successful in treating IBS and its debilitating symptoms of bloating,
constipation, and diarrhea.

These microorganisms live in the digestive tract and are safe for most people. But, they
are sold without FDA approval because prior approval of supplements is not required by
the FDA. Therefore, you should always check with your health care provider before
adding any supplement to your daily regime. This is true especially if you are already
taking any traditional medications.

Now that you know and understand, that any healthy supplement can cause side
effects or allergic reactions. Be sure to do your research before adding them to your
daily routine. Also, remember there is no standard for the manufacturing process for
these supplements so the effectiveness may differ from brand to brand. Even with
these cautions, the benefits of these supplements far outweigh the possible risks.
Probiotic supplements may be the best thing you can add to your lifestyle especially if
you or a loved one are suffering from intestinal problems, including irritable bowel

Natural Supplements or Synthetic – Which Supplement is Best For You

In recent years a growing number of men and women have taken to using natural vitamins and

should be considered

In recent years a growing number of men and women have taken to using natural vitamins and
nutritional supplements as opposed to the more traditional, synthetic versions of these products. There
are a number of differences between natural and synthetic vitamins and nutritional supplements that
should be considered when you are trying to determine what type will best meet your own particular
needs and dieting goals.

Many experts have concluded that the natural version of these products “work better” in a person’s
body. These products absorb into a person’s system easier, according to these researchers. As a
result, there are a significant number of nutritional experts who recommend natural vitamins and
nutritional supplements because they appear to be more effective in their interaction within a person’s
body. Each person should decide for his/herself what version of supplement fits into his or her lifestyle
and budget.

Of course, one of the overall benefits of synthetic vitamins and nutritional products is cost. As a general
rule, synthetic products do cost less than their natural counterparts. In point of fact, oftentimes
synthetic supplements costs a great deal less than similar natural supplements. Therefore, a consumer
on a budget very well may want to use a synthetic product to save a little money.

In regard to the costs of products, some people would argue that because natural products may be
more effective — because natural vitamins and nutritional products may work more efficiently in a
person’s body — the extra expenses associated with these products may pay off over the long run. In
other words, because you get “more bang for your buck” with a natural product, the actual costs
associated with these products up front may pay off over time as a consumer utilizes these products.

There is some limited evidence that some of the materials contained in synthetic vitamins and
nutritional products may not be beneficial to a human being over time — indeed, there is some
indication that some of these materials might be harmful over time. The research in this regard is not,
as of yet, conclusive. However, there has been a movement in recent years to revamp the chemical
makeup of certain synthetic products — including vitamins and nutritional supplements — in order to
work to ensure that they are in fact healthier for people both in the short and in the long term.

A nutritionist or doctor can provide you with additional information on the pros and cons of natural
versus synthetic vitamins and nutritional supplements.

Green-lipped Mussels – Almost Complete Whole Food

Green-lipped mussels are commonly found in waters around New Zealand. These
mussels are not only eaten as a local specialty, but they are also processed, packed
into capsules and taken as nutritional supplements all over the world. As the name
suggests, the New Zealand Green-lipped
mussel is native to New Zealand; however, they are considered an
introduced pest in Australia.

These mussels consume sea phytoplankton and filter the plankton from the water in
order to absorb it into their systems. It is a surprise that because of the hole in the
ozone layer in the stratosphere, the animal life in New
Zealand contain elevated levels of natural anti-oxidants. The mussel
absorbs these elevated levels of anti-oxidants from the plankton and then provides one
of the best sources of anti-oxidant rich omega 3 oils on earth.

Some people consider this unique mussel to be a “miracle” food because
they believe the New Zealand’s indigenous people (the Maoris) never get arthritis or
aches and pains. A great deal of the Maoris’ diet once consisted of green-lipped
muscles and seafood. Now that claim might have been true when the Maoris were
living off the land and sea 100 years ago. However, the Maoris no longer live the
ancient way and are subject to the same aches and pains as the rest of us.

The green-lipped muscle is very close to being the most perfect complete whole food
known at this time. It is considered complete because they have
a broader spectrum of nutrients than any plant. The mineral salts contained in the
mussel imitate the mineral composition of human blood. And more important research
shows that the extract from the green-lipped mussel has tremendous us in the
treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis because of its anti-inflammatory
properties and ability to inhibit inflammation.

The cultivation of the mussel started around 1973 and has grown over the years with a
huge expansion of production. It has grown 708% just between 1988 to 2000.

During the last thirty or forty years, health-conscious people all over the
world have discovered the health benefits of the green-lipped mussel.
Some people like the taste and eat them frozen or marinated. Others
prefer a supplement form which could be a soft gel oil or powder in a

It is unfortunate that most shellfish and mollusks lose their nutritional value quickly
when they are cooked or frozen and this is true of the green-lipped mussel. So
enjoying them in a meal marinated or frozen will not reap the nutritional benefits that
would come from the raw form or the supplement form.

The two fundamental benefits of green-lipped mussels are for helping relieve joint pain
and helping to reduce inflammation. However, there is ever so much more in the way
of benefits that this raw green-lipped mussel can provide in the way of health benefits.
Better skin, more efficient circulatory system, healthier immune system, stronger bones
and teeth, improve fertility potential, improved nerve cell functioning and provides
essential omega-3 fatty acids for nutrition. These additional benefits come ONLY from
eating raw green-lipped mussels.

So unless you plan on moving to New Zealand to reap the benefits of this amazing
mussel, you will need to get those benefits through natural supplements.

The Benefits Of Adding A Daily Multi-vitamin To Your Diet

These days, we all know that taking multivitamins is an easy way to start pursuing a
healthy and disease free way of life. In the past, multivitamins were used with diets,
although they weren’t near as sophisticated as they are today. The vitamins of today
are far more sophisticated and geared towards certain aspects of your body and your

Even though some people may not realize it, food doesn’t give you all of the vitamins
and nutrients your body needs. Although you may be following a healthy diet, you
won’t receive everything your body needs to carry out daily functions. You can buy
high quality food if you wish, although it isn’t the preferred way to fix this type of
situation. No matter what you choose to eat, you still won’t get the vitamins and
nutrients you need.

If you have any type of restrictions with your diet, it can be even more difficult to get
the vitamins and nutrients you need. Those who suffer from food allergies especially,
find it even harder to get the right amount of vitamins. Even if you have a small
appetite, you can be at a major disadvantage to getting everything your body needs.
Smaller appetites get full a lot quicker, making it harder to eat the foods you need on a
daily basis.

No matter how you look at it, you won’t get everything your body needs from food. To
get the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients you need, you’ll need to use supplements
and vitamins. Multivitamin supplements are the easiest way to give your body what it
needs. You can use vitamins and supplements in your normal diet, although you’ll
need to choose them accordingly with what you need and what your diet consists of.

Even though there are many vitamins that you can benefit from, one of the most
important is B12, which can raise your energy levels and help with your immune
system. Some other vitamins you’ll need to include in your normal diet are vitamin A, C,
D, and E. These vitamins are very important to your body, as they help with many
different functions. Vitamins C and E are among the most important, as they help with
your skin, hair growth, and the way your body functions.

When you use dietary supplements, you want to be sure that you are getting the most
amounts possible. Vitamins are a great alternative to minerals and nutrients found in
food, and are ideal for those who aren’t able to eat the right foods. Vitamin
supplements are also great for athletes or those looking for more energy, as they will
supply the levels your body needs for exhaustive activity

To ensure that your body remains at it’s best, you should make sure that you get the
right amount of vitamins with your diet. You can find dietary supplements locally or on
the Internet, with hundreds to choose from. You should also include selenium and
colostrum in your daily diet as well, as these two vitamins will help you with your health.
If you take the right vitamins with your diet – you’ll find that your health and energy will
always remain at their top levels of performance.

If you aren’t sure what you should take, you should consult with your doctor. Vitamins
and supplements are a great way to get minerals and nutrients to your body, although
they should never, ever, be used to replace food. You’ll still need to maintain a healthy
diet, even though you may be taking vitamins. If you can maintain a healthy diet when
taking your vitamins and supplements, you’ll find the benefits to be twice as good.

When choosing your dietary supplements you should always choose them wisely,
making sure that you get exactly what you need. Recommend that you visit Xtendlife

Milk Thistle – Not Just an Itchy Weed

Milk thistle has been well known in folklore as a remedy for gall bladder and liver
problems. This plant is native to Europe. The Silymarin is a flavonoid found in the seeds
and is the active constituent in this plant.

Research has found that this plant provides protection from liver damage due to alcohol,
Tylenol and other drug use. It also has been found to improve liver function in patients
suffering from cirrhosis of the liver.

There is promising research that is tentatively exploring the solitarian in this plant in
connection with cancer prevention and high cholesterol. Studies have shown that there
was a significant reduction in liver disease related deaths when patients were given this
supplement and it was determined that it may help stop inflammation resulting from
hepatitis C.

There are further ongoing studies being conducted at this time to determine how the
supplement might be successful in treating all patients with hepatitis. The supplement
does not appear to remove the disease from the body, however, it does help fight the

Besides folklore, there is science behind this plant and diabetes treatment. Additionally,
this supplement may provide a defense against diabetes and diabetes-related
complications, which include kidney damage and blood vessel damage. It is rich in
antioxidants which may assist in the treatment of diabetes.

There was another study that also concluded the supplement may aid in treating
diabetes-related kidney damage. This occurred in an animal study which indicated that
the supplement slowed the progression of diabetic nephropathy in rats.

There is research which included people with type 2 diabetes who for four months
participated by including a supplement containing silymarin along with their conventional
drug routine. This group showed a marked decrease in total cholesterol and LDL. Their
blood sugar levels also appeared to be better regulated when using the milk thistle

Research seemed to show that it could also help manage diabetes by treating insulin

There is yet another useful application of milk thistle may be an aid in skin-cancer
prevention. Applied to the skin in combination with sun- screen it was shown to produce
antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immune system regulating properties. Additionally, the
herb showed an ability to inhibit several tumor-promoters involved in skin cancer

Should you use milk thistle for diabetes treatment? That is a good question with various
opinions and answers out there, but The National Institutes of Health classifies milk thistle
as a “possibly effective” treatment for diabetes. However, since there are various side
effects to the supplement which might have serious health consequences you should
use caution when starting any supplement regimen.

This supplement is not recommended for pregnant women nor should women with
cancer of the breast, uterus or ovaries use it. This supplement may also interfere with
oral birth control medications.

There are also various side effects, including headache, indigestion and itching.

As the research continues, this supplement may prove to be much more useful than ever

Meditation – Focus To Obtain A Relaxed Healthy Body And Mind

Meditation refers to a state where your body and mind are consciously relaxed and focused. Practitioners
of this art report increased awareness, focus, and concentration, as well as a more positive outlook in life.

Meditation is most commonly associated with monks, mystics and other spiritual disciplines. However, you
don’t have to be a monk or mystic to enjoy its benefits. And you don’t even have to be in a special place to
practice it. You could even try it in your own living room!

Although there are many different approaches to meditation, the fundamental principles remain the same.
The most important among these principles is that of removing obstructive, negative, and wandering
thoughts and fantasies, and calming the mind with a deep sense of focus. This clears the mind of debris
and prepares it for a higher quality of activity.

The negative thoughts you have are those of noisy neighbors, bossy office mates, that parking ticket you
got, and unwanted spam are said to contribute to the ‘polluting’ of the mind, and shutting them out is allows
for the ‘cleansing’ of the mind so that it may focus on deeper, more meaningful thoughts.

Some practitioners even shut out all sensory input no sights, no sounds, and nothing to touch and try to
detach themselves from the commotion around them. You may now focus on a deep, profound thought if
this is your goal. It may seem deafening at first, since we are all too accustomed to constantly hearing and
seeing things, but as you continue this exercise you will find yourself becoming more aware of everything
around you.

If you find the meditating positions you see on television threatening those with impossibly arched backs,
and painful-looking contortions you need not worry. The principle here is to be in a comfortable position
conducive to concentration. This may be while sitting cross-legged, standing, lying down, and even walking.

If the position allows you to relax and focus then that would be a good starting point. While sitting or
standing, the back should be straight, but not tense or tight. In other positions, the only no-no is slouching
and falling asleep.

Loose, comfortable clothes help a lot in the process since tight fitting clothes have a tendency to choke
you up and make you feel tense. The place you perform meditation should have a soothing atmosphere.
It may be in your living room, or bedroom, or any place that you feel comfortable in. You might want an
exercise mat if you plan to take on the more challenging positions (if you feel more focused doing so, and
if the contortionist in you is screaming for release). You may want to have the place arranged so that it is
soothing to your senses.

Silence helps most people relax and meditate, so you may want a quiet, isolated area far from the ringing
of the phone or the humming of the washing machine. Pleasing scents also help in that regard, so stocking
up on aromatic candles isn’t such a bad idea either.

The monks you see on television making those monotonous sounds are actually performing their mantra.
This, in simple terms, is a short creed, a simple sound which, for these practitioners, holds a mystic value.
You do not need to perform such; however, it would pay to note that focusing on repeated actions such as
breathing, and humming help the practitioner enter a higher state of consciousness.

The principle here is focus. You could also try focusing on a certain object or thought, or even, while
keeping your eyes open, focus on a single sight. One sample routine would be to while in a meditative
state silently name every part of you body and focusing your consciousness on that part. While doing this
you should be aware of any tension on any part of your body. Mentally visualize releasing this tension. It
works wonders.

There are also many meditation CDs on the market that have been scientifically proven to alter your
brainwaves in such a way to help you achieve deep meditation. Find out more about these here:
Meditation CDs. In all, meditation is a relatively risk-free practice and its benefits are well worth the effort
(or non-effort remember we’re relaxing

Studies have shown that meditation does bring about beneficial physiologic effects to the body. And there
has been a growing consensus in the medical community to further study the effects of such. So start now
in creating your health and well being…start meditating today!

African Mango – The Secret Fat Burner Supplement

In Cameroon Africa there is a rare type of mango fruit from which African mango extract
is gathered. The seeds of the plant contain the element that is attributed
to its weight loss properties. The extract is called irvingia gabonensis and has
been used for hundreds of years in Africa and is reputed by the natives to have many
health benefits.

This wonderful extract may have many medical benefits in addition to help with weight
loss. The aid to weight loss occurs because the extract speeds up the metabolism in the
body and this means it can help the body burn many more calories.

The seeds of this fruit have heat generating properties that help burn body fats. Obesity
in this country is a national epidemic, in fact, obesity has become a problem throughout
the world. Anything that can safely help control this epidemic would be worthwhile.

Research has seen compelling results in both weight reduction, body fat reduction and
reduction of waist circumference with this supplement as well as a reduction in leptin (the
obesity hormone) levels.

Although African mango has been studied for over 20 years in this country, it has just
recently been studied for its aid in weight loss. In double blind testing the supplement
showed positive clinical results also in treating insulin resistance and high cholesterol

Participants in various studies were administered 150 mg twice a day befor meals. The
participants results were weight reduction and an improvement within metabolic
guidelines associated with insulin resistance.

Aside from the promising laboratory results, African Mango has a very low propensity for
abuse. It also has been clinically proven to have no weight rebound effect. Of course,
when starting a weight loss program, one should never rely entirely on supplements
alone; one must eat a healthy diet and include some exercise in order to meet weight
loss goals.

Remember loosing weight is difficult and it is about using the extra weight you have
accumulated as energy. You must burn calories for energy and if you do not burn more
calories than you ingest you will gain weight.

To a large extent metabolism also plays an indispensable role in your health. If it is slow
your body will absorb excess calories that turn to fat. This supplement will help increase
your metabolism and aid in preventing your body from storing excess fat.

The research appears to be so positive regarding this supplement and there does not
seem to be any adverse side effects or dosage restrictions. Seriously, what have you
got to lose – maybe more weight with African Mango.

Weight Loss Management – A Weight Loss Management Plan

Obesity throughout the world, not just in the USA, is growing by leaps and bounds. The
potential for health problems with obese people will be a worldwide disaster if it cannot
be controlled.

The latest research relating to weight loss management provides that any successful
weight loss plan needs intelligence, understanding, planning and most importantly

If you truly want to lose weight safely and naturally, you must be ready to change your
lifestyle and be able to make your health the number one priority in your life. The result
will be a happier, healthier you with more energy and better self image.

Successful weight loss will occur over a period of time necessary to reach your goal.
You cannot go on a quick fix diet and be successful – you will just regain the weight and
add even more weight to your body. Lose weight over time while you change your
habits so that you can maintain the weight loss forever.

Your body will need to become used to your new calorie requirements. Appetite and
metabolism are automatic processes in your make up. It takes hard work and dedication
to change these processes and lose weight. It takes even more work to maintain your
healthy weight.

Food selection, the amount of food eaten, huge amounts of fat and sugar, unhealthy
fast food is out of touch with our biological needs. We must overhaul our diets and
begin making healthier food choices.

Just observing the people around you is evidence of how obesity is taking over the
population. More than 3 in every 5 people are overweight or obese. In the US alone
there are over 39 million obese people. This is an epidemic.

It is time for us to change. If you are overweight, unwell and on your way to serious
diseases the time to change is now.

Here is how to attain your healthy weight loss goals. First check with your health care
provider to make sure you can safely begin exercising and losing weight.

Now, recognize the road ahead will be difficult and make a pact with yourself to change
your ways. Get involvement and encouragement from family and friends. Commit to an
exercise plan that is reasonable and safe for your current physical capabilities.
Remember exercise burns fat and the more you exercise the more healthy food you will
be able to eat.

There is no secret to weight loss. You must exercise or use up energy in excess of
calories consumed. It is a simple concept, but difficult to put into practice.

Set realistic weight loss goals. You are not going to loose ten pounds a week. It took
a long time to gain the weight and you will need time to lose it. A realistic goal is two to
three pounds a week.

Think of it this way – excess fat is stored energy that you have not used as you should.
You need to use up all that wonderful stored energy gradually just like burning a
candle. The candle is the stored energy and the flame uses up the energy. Get moving
and turn on the flame.

Clean out the cupboards and refrigerator of all foods that trigger binges. Remove all
saturated fat laden foods and desserts. No food is forbidden, but must be a part of
careful meal planning and portion control. Choose foods that are filling and that will
sustain fullness. Proteins such as skinless chicken, lean meat, and fish will help keep
you full and provide needed muscle building protein. Fresh fruits and vegetables are
filling and necessary for good health. Low fat dairy and cheese are good choices.
Whole wheat breads and cereals also provide and excellent source of fiber. Also
suggest you add a weight loss supplement to your diet.
